Franco Cavalletto, alias Cobalto, is an Italian contemporary artist. Born in Piove di Sacco, Italy, in 1963, he lives in Arzergrande.
Since he was a little kid, he has always been attracted by nature and the arts. He started to paint
still-life, figurative and landscape art, getting inspiration from the great artists, always
detail-oriented, but always with the thought of
how to "give life" to his own style.
His mind has always been ravenous, he always wanted to know something new about art, to see something new and to create something new.
Finally, in 2011, he discovered his own style, a mixture of everything that inspire him the most.
Nature is a sort of ubiquitous element in his artworks,
if not as a painted image, as embedded element in the painting itself.
Writing, music, dance, are part of the nature and this is what Cobalto wants to represent.
He then creates sculptures with the same characteristics as the paintings, always about nature and arts, always with a cubist inspiration and with one eye only.
The arts are our own way,
as human beings,
to connect with nature,
with the spiritual world.
